DMCA & copyright policy

TranslateMyManga is an image-processing tool. You upload a page you already have, we detect the text, translate it and draw it back. We don't host a library, we don't index or link to one, and we have no catalogue to browse.

What we store, and for how long

  • Pages you translate are processed in your browser. The only copy that leaves your device is a temporary one used to reach the translation model — it lives at a single-use address and is deleted after 10 minutes.
  • If you're signed in, finished pages are saved to your library, kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically. You can remove them yourself from your library at any time before that.
  • Anonymous daily limits are counted against a one-way hash of your IP and browser string. We do not store the raw IP.

Sending a takedown notice

If you own a copyright (or act for the owner) and believe material stored by TranslateMyManga infringes it, send a written notice to dmca@example.com. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) it must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the work you say is infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it — for a saved result that means the URL.
  4. Your address, telephone number and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

An incomplete notice slows things down — we may come back to you for the missing parts before acting.

What we do with it

We remove or disable the material we can identify, and tell the account holder what was removed and why. Misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under §512(f), so please be sure before you send.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that attract repeated, valid notices are terminated. Remaining credits are forfeited in that case — see the terms.
