It translates in place — no tab switching, no re-uploading, no download folder full of page_01_translated.png . Chrome Web Store — in review [Try it on the web first](https://translatemymanga.com/) Free to install · 3 pages a day without an account · one balance with the website ## Try it on this page Installed already? You don't need to open a manga site to test it. Right-click the panel below → “Translate this image with TranslateMyManga”. The translation is drawn back into the speech bubbles in a few seconds. Alt-click it to flip back to the original. Sample page · 日本語 → English · works the same on any image on any website ## What it does on the page Three interaction modes, because people read manga three different ways. RIGHT-CLICK ### One panel Context-menu item on any image. Good for the one page where you lost the plot. POPUP ### Whole page One button in the popup queues every panel on the page in reading order and translates them one after another. AUTO ### As you scroll Turn it on per-site. New panels get translated as they enter the viewport — closest thing to just reading it. ## Why not just use Google Lens? ### Lens reads text. It doesn't read manga. Vertical Japanese, right-to-left panel order, furigana, handwritten SFX, text that breaks across two bubbles — general OCR gets these wrong in ways that make the page unreadable rather than just imperfect. ### And it puts the words somewhere else. We redraw the translation inside the original bubble , remove the source text, and keep the art. You end up with a page you can read, not a list of strings. ## Tuned for the readers people actually use Eighteen platforms, each with its own adapter — page detection, lazy-loading and image hosting handled per site. What you can see, you can translate. We never bypass a paywall or unscramble protected pages — which is why readers that lock their canvases (Shonen Jump+, Comic DAYS) are not on this list. OFFICIAL ### Publisher & platform readers WEBTOON · Naver Webtoon · Kakao Webtoon · Pixiv · Pixiv Comic · KADOCOMI (ComicWalker) · Cmoa · Cycomi · Bilibili Manga · WebNovel Comics COMMUNITY ### Community readers MangaDex · Asura Scans · MangaFire · Manganato · Mangago · MangaRW · Rolia Scan · King of Shojo ## Getting it running Under a minute, no account. 1 ### Install it One click from the Chrome Web Store (Edge installs the same package). It needs access to the page you're reading so it can swap panels in place — nothing runs and nothing is sent until you ask. 2 ### Open the page you were reading No import step, no re-uploading. Open a chapter on any of the supported readers and the extension wakes up. 3 ### Right-click a panel Or hit Translate this page in the popup for every panel at once, or switch on auto-translate for the site and just scroll. ## What it does on the page Six behaviours worth knowing before you install anything into your browser. SCOPE ### Only when you ask Chrome will say it can access all sites — that is what lets it swap a panel on any reader. But it never reads page text or your history, and nothing is sent anywhere until you right-click, press the popup button, or switch auto-translate on for a site. TRIGGER ### Three ways in Right-click one panel, press Translate this page in the popup, or turn on auto-translate and just scroll. Different reading habits need different entry points. TIMING ### As it comes into view With auto on, panels are processed when they enter the viewport rather than all at once, so a long chapter does not stall at the start. PLACE ### You never leave The translation is drawn onto the page you are already reading. No tab switching, no re-uploading, no losing your scroll position. ACCOUNT ### One balance Credits work across the extension, the website and the API. Buy anywhere, spend anywhere. REPAIR ### Sites that break Readers that load images in unusual ways occasionally need a rule. Report one and the fix arrives as a normal extension update. ## Extension vs uploading to a website Both work. They suit different reading habits. Extension Upload flow Where you read The site you are already on A separate tab Effort per chapter Right-click, or nothing with auto on Save images, upload, download Losing your place Never — you do not leave the page Common Keeping a copy Not by default CBZ export Works offline No No Best for Reading as you go Archiving a series ## Three ways people use it ### The occasional panel You follow a series in the original and mostly manage, but one page has a term you cannot place. Right-click, read, carry on. ### Reading a whole chapter Auto-translate on, scroll normally. Panels are translated as they come into view, so there is no wait at the start. ### Reading on a phone Use the web version in your phone browser — upload from the gallery or paste a screenshot. Android has no Chrome-extension browser we can recommend since Kiwi was archived in 2025. ### Comparing translations Alt-click a translated panel to flip back to the original, and again to return — without leaving the page. ## Prefer to try before installing The web version runs the same engine. Translate a page there first, then install the extension if you like the output. [Try it on the web](https://translatemymanga.com/) Something broken, or a reader you want added? Not a native app yet. The web tool works in a phone browser (upload from your gallery, or paste a screenshot), and the extension covers desktop reading. One account and balance across both. ### Is the extension free? Yes — install free, 3 pages a day free, no account. Heavy readers buy a credit pack. ### Which sites does it work on? The twenty readers listed above, each with its own adapter. On other sites the extension stays idle. Want a reader added? Tell us which one. ### Does it work on mobile? Not as an extension. Kiwi Browser, the one Android browser that ran Chrome extensions, was archived in January 2025, and nothing has replaced it. Use the web version on your phone instead — same engine, same balance. ### What data does it see? Only the panels you ask it to translate. Nothing leaves your browser until you right-click a panel, use the popup, or turn on auto-translate for a site — and then only that image is sent, never the page or your history. ### Does it slow the page down? Nothing runs until you ask it to. With auto-translate on, panels are processed as they enter the viewport rather than all at once, so scrolling stays smooth. ### Can I use it and the website with one account? Yes — one balance covers both, plus the API. Credits bought anywhere work everywhere. ### Which languages can it translate into? 16 target languages, set once in the popup. Japanese, Korean and Chinese sources are detected automatically. ### What if a site breaks it? Readers that load images in unusual ways occasionally need a rule. Report the site and it gets added — the fix arrives as a normal extension update.
